The largest bike sharing system in Latin America arrived in Bogota with Tembici, a sustainable mobility system with a fleet of 1,500 mechanical bikes, 1,500 electric bikes, 150 handlebars, 150 bikes with lockers, 300 stations and 150 chairs for transporting children.

Tembici operates daily between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., with rates that adjust to the needs of residents and tourists. Users can choose to pay for a one-hour or one-year plan.

Travel through Bogotá and reach your destination daily with Tembici; help reducing traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions.

How to use them?

Download the Tembici application from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Pay by credit, debit or cash at the points of sale:  
Calle 13, 58-71 – Puente Aranda 
Calle 116, 19-41 – Av. Pepe Sierra and purchase a card with proximity technology.  
Sign up. Download the Tembici app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). 
Choose your plan, and pay via credit or debit.  In the app, select Unlock Card, and register by following the steps indicated. 
Search your nearest bike station.Search your nearest bike station.  
Choose your bike, unlock it, by scanning the QR code located on its handlebars.  Choose your bike, and unlock it by bringing the Tembici card close to the symbol on the right side of the anchor where the chosen bike is locked.

Do not forget: 

  • Adjust the height of your chair. 
  • Use the basket correctly, it is forbidden to carry animals and children. 
  • Something wrong? Return the bike up to 2 minutes after taking it out and you will not be charged for it. Press the maintenance button, located on the top of the anchor where you locked it. Once you have done this, choose another bike to unlock.  
  • At the end of your ride, do not leave the bike on the street. Check in the app which is the nearest station to return it, in the “Availability” option. It is not necessary to return it to the same starting station.  
Mechanical bicycles One trip: $890 (bike pick-up) + $150 / minute.  
Daily plan: $9,990 + $890 / each bike pick-up. The user can make up to 4 trips in the same day, each of maximum 60 minutes. If you exceed that time, you must pay $150 for each additional minute. A fifth trip will have an additional value of $3,990. 
Monthly plan: $31,990. The user can make up to 4 trips in the same day, each of a maximum of 60 minutes. If this time is exceeded, the user must pay $150 for each additional minute. A fifth trip will have an additional cost of $3,990.  
Annual plan: $191,900. The user can make up to 4 trips in the same day, each of a maximum of 60 minutes. If this time is exceeded, the user must pay $150 for each additional minute. A fifth trip will have an additional value of $3.990. 
Electric bicycles One trip or daily plan: $1,890 (bike pick-up) + $150/minute. 
Monthly or annual plan: $890 (bike pick-up) + $75 per minute of use. 
Special bicycles (handlebars or box bicycles) One trip: $1,890 (bike pick-up) + 300 pesos/minute.  
Daily plan: $14.990 for unlimited rides for 24 hours, starting at pick-up.  
Weekly plan: $29.990 for unlimited rides for 7 days, starting at pick-up.
