Have you wondered which country has invested the most in Bogota-Region in the last five years?  

The United States tops the list, both in terms of amount and number of projects. These investments, which are mainly in the IT & BPO, value-added manufacturing, life sciences, creative industries and infrastructure sectors, are due to the attributes that Bogota offers for the operations of foreign companies seeking to expand: access to markets; young and skilled labor force; strategic location; business climate; investment incentives; and institutional support.     

Invest in Bogota has accompanied the investment and/or reinvestment decisions of U.S. companies such as HBO; Everise; Vezt; Zimmer Biomet; Nisum; Weatherford; Avionos; Amgem; iXerv; Amazon Web Services; WeWork; Cisco Systems; and Concentrix, among others.    

What other countries invested in Bogota-Region between 2017 and 2022? 

After the United States, the countries that invested the most in Bogota, by amount of investment, were Spain, France, Italy and Mexico. In turn, by number of projects, they were followed by Spain, France, Mexico and Germany.

Which countries have invested in Bogota-Region by 2022? 

Although —for the first half of 2022— the United States tops the list in number of projects (followed by Spain, Argentina, Japan and Canada), in terms of the amount of investment, Ireland ranks first, followed by the United States, Argentina, Poland and Spain.
