Bogota will host a forum entitled ‘Tools to increase transparency in public procurement in Colombia’
In partnership with the Chamber of International Commerce and the legal firm Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo, on October 21 the Government Contracting Observatory for Foreign Companies will sponsor a forum on tools to increase transparency in public procurement in Colombia. The event will take place in Auditorium Hall 2 of the Chamber of Commerce in the Chapinero district.
The event aims to introduce companies, or potential foreign and local investors interested in offering goods or services to public bodies, to the essential tools that exist to increase transparency and due diligence in public procurement in Bogota and Colombia, particularly through the use of information and communication technologies.
This initiative is highly relevant given the vital role played nowadays by technology in supervising and monitoring government contracting processes.
The most important speakers and guests at the event include Agostinho Almeida, the director of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution; Camilo Ernesto Jaimes, Transparency Secretary of the Colombian President’s Office; and Elisa Carbonell, the economic and commercial advisor of Icex Colombia.
Spaces for talks and debates will also be provided, whose topics include ‘The general anti-corruption system’, ‘Tools to increase transparency and due diligence in public procurement in Colombia’ and ‘The role of control bodies in government contracting’.
