Bogota has a new Foreign Investment Guide
On Thursday, February 13, 2020, the launch of the new Bogota Foreign Investment Guide was held at the Gun Club. The project arose from the collaboration between Invest in Bogota and some of the best law firms in Colombia and Latin America. Teamwork was the great protagonist of this new investment guide, and without key contributions from each one of the participants, the final product would not have been the same.
Composed of 14 chapters, this guide thoroughly explains the essential topics in the business environment for those interested in investing in Bogota. The printed version includes different multimedia elements, which are directly linked to the digital version that will be updated constantly. This will ensure this important document stays relevant.
The ceremony featured three key players: Cristina Vélez, vice president of public-private partnership of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce; Carolina Durán, secretary of development of Bogota, and Juan Gabriel Pérez, executive director of Invest in Bogota. Each of them took the stage and shared a few words with the attendees.
Cristina Vélez: “The importance of this guide and its constant updates seek to position the city and country as a regional center for investment and business.”
Carolina Durán: “Invest in Bogota is going to keep growing and promoting the opportunities that this city represents, not only for new investors but also for those who decide to stay in the city.”
Juan Gabriel Pérez: “This guide is not only for foreign investment. This guide is for business people, entrepreneurs, and academia.”
Completing a project like this and the great support it has received from the public as well as private institutions proves its importance and revalidate Bogota’s position in the economic and investment scene. The new Bogota Foreign Investment Guide does not seek to simply inform, but also to demonstrate the Colombian capital’s potential and layout reasons for which entrepreneurs around the world should include Bogota in their business plans.
