Since 1994, Eurocine Festival has been offering the best of European cinema in Colombia and is now regarded as a meeting place between the Colombian public and the culture and ideals of the many different European countries. Over these 20 years it has grown substantially, expanding its offerings to include other cities and in the process becoming one of the most important cultural festivals in the country.

For its 20th anniversary, the billboard presents samples of several award winning films at major film festivals throughout the world. From April 30 to June 1, the Colombian public can enjoy 46 movies and 16 short films from 21 countries such as Germany, Bulgaria, Croatia, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, the UK, Switzerland and Ukraine, among others. In addition, Romanian director and designer specializing in animation Anca Damian, film producer Molla Tishna and journalist and critic of German film for Cineaste Holger Römers will all be part of the programming.

In this latest version, the Festival will extend beyond the movie theaters: the agenda also includes activities such as the conference by ATOM, the German musician who will talk about his work on May 10 at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce - Chico Headquarters, and the concert to celebrate Eurocine’s 20th anniversary on May 4 with the band Puerto Candelaria, who will be playing special versions of the soundtracks of six European films: Life is Beautiful, Amélie, All About My Mother, The Postman and Cinema Paradiso.

Europe will be present in the movie theaters of Bogotá from April 30 to May 11, Cine Colombia - Av. Chile, Calle 100, Cinemanía, Cinemateca Distrital, Cine Club de la Universidad Central, Museo Nacional de Colombia, Biblioteca Nacional de Colombia, Cinema Paraíso, and El Coq.
