The giant Spanish audiovisual production company Mediapro grows its operation in Bogota

Date: 15 February, 2019

Media Pro has experienced significant growth in three main lines of business: rights management, audiovisual services, and content production, and is considered the leading independent production company throughout the entire audiovisual value chain with operations worldwide through its 55 offices distributed across 35 countries on four continents.

It has always been the Group’s intent to have an extensive global presence, and it has accomplished this goal for Latin America, a critical region in its expansion efforts. Specifically, in the case of Colombia and Bogotá, Eugeni Sallent, Country Manager for Mediapro Colombia, highlights the human talent and the city’s excellent quality/price ratio. “I believe it’s essential for Bogotá and Colombia to make a clear commitment to this industry,” he said.

In the last few years, the country’s capital has become a major hub for the production and postproduction of audiovisual content, and as explained by Sallent, Bogotá is highly competitive because it offers all services in one place and its government institutions provide access to funding opportunities and support for the production of audiovisual content.
