The figures confirm this. In the last five years, for example, the Greenfield investment that arrived in the country for new life sciences projects – as they are called by Invest in Bogota – added $1,270 million USD, distributed in 77 projects that created more than 5,000 new jobs.

The countries that have invested the most in projects related to this sector are: the United States (14 projects), France (7), and Spain (7). Countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, India, Korea, Japan and Germany also made important investments.

According to Juan Gabriel Pérez, Executive Director of Invest in Bogota, the capital received 79% of the investment projects that arrived in the country, thanks to its value proposition and strategic location.
