What is the Bogota Convention Bureau

The Convention Bureau is a business unit of Invest in Bogota, responsible for promoting Bogota-Region in both local and international markets as a world-class destination for meetings and events. Its goal is to attract congresses, conventions, incentive travel, and events to the destination.

Mission

As a public–private partnership between the Bogota Chamber of Commerce and the city government, the Convention Bureau is the ideal ally for industry stakeholders to organize successful, memorable, safe, and sustainable events in our city.

Some of the sectors impacted by the Bureau’s work in the city include: airlines, hotels, transport companies, event organizers, meeting venues, food and beverage services, and complementary services such as event setups and temporary structures, registration and accreditation, audiovisual and tech support, audio conferencing and simultaneous interpretation, decoration, photography, video, among others.

Greater Bogota Convention Bureau es una unidad de negocio de Invest In Bogota, a cargo de la promoción de Bogotá-Región en los mercados locales e internacionales como un destino de clase mundial para reuniones y eventos. Su objeto es traer congresos, convenciones, viajes de incentivo y eventos para el destino.

Objetivos:

Activar el sector productivo asociado a los eventos y contribuir a un mayor flujo turístico.
Contribuir a mejorar la reputación positiva del destino en cuanto a reuniones y eventos.
Mejorar el entorno de reuniones y eventos en Bogotá Región.

Visión:

Destino preferido como anfitrión de reuniones y eventos en América Latina.

Misión:

Como una alianza público-privada entre la Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá y el Gobierno de la Ciudad de Bogotá, el Convention Bureau es el mejor aliado para que los organizadores de eventos realicen reuniones exitosas, memorables, seguras y sostenibles en el destino.

Algunos sectores que impacta la labor del Bureau en la ciudad son: aerolíneas, hoteles, empresas de transporte, organizadores de eventos, recintos para reuniones, alimentos y bebidas y, de servicios complementarios dígase montajes de eventos y arquitectura efímera, inscripción y acreditación, ayudas audiovisuales y tecnología, audioconferencia y traducción simultánea, decoración, fotografía, video, entre otros.
