Colombia is the third largest e-commerce market in the region

E-commerce revenues in the country grew by 15% in 2024, surpassing the regional average growth of 13%.

E-commerce in Colombia has grown at an average annual rate of 28% over the past five years.

The value of e-commerce sales in the country increased by 13% in 2023, and averaged 28% growth between 2019 and 2023. ​

In terms of the number of transactions, these increased by 12% in 2023 and averaged 36% growth between 2019 and 2023.

In 2023, the country averaged USD 812 in e-commerce spending per inhabitant, Surpassing countries like Peru, Argentina, Mexico, and Ecuador.

Colombia ranks third in consumer share in the region, with 16%, behind only Brazil and Chile, both with 17%.

This performance places the country ahead of Argentina (15%), Mexico (14%), and Peru (12%) in consumer participation.
