Isis Durán Appointed Executive Director of Invest in Bogotá to Strengthen Bogotá Region’s Global Positioning

Isis Durán Moreno has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Invest in Bogotá, leading a new phase focused on strengthening the international positioning of Bogotá Region as a strategic destination for investment, business, innovation, and world-class events.

Durán is a communications professional with studies in Governance and International Relations from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, where she also earned an MBA. Her academic background is complemented by executive education certifications in leadership, sustainability, data analytics, and strategic communications from internationally recognized institutions, including MIT Sloan School of Management, Stanford University, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and New York University.

Throughout her career, she has led corporate communications, sustainability, public affairs, and organizational transformation strategies, driving reputation-building initiatives and fostering strategic engagement among companies, multilateral organizations, and public institutions.

Her professional experience includes designing and implementing partnerships with organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, and the World Economic Forum. She has also participated in international forums focused on sustainability, biodiversity, governance, and economic development.

During her tenure at ProColombia, she contributed to the international promotion of the FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia 2011 as Communications and International Relations Advisor. In addition, she has led public-private advocacy campaigns on issues including energy transition, healthcare, circular economy, responsible consumption, entrepreneurship, and investment promotion.

Durán has also participated in global discussions at forums such as the United Nations General Assembly and the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, strengthening a strategic vision centered on reputation, trust-building, competitiveness, and social impact.

From Invest in Bogotá, we will continue strengthening partnerships, fostering collaboration among key stakeholders, and promoting an international narrative connected to innovation, sustainability, and the city’s economic development,” said Durán following her appointment.

With her arrival, Invest in Bogotá seeks to consolidate a new stage of positioning for Bogotá Region, supported by a long-term strategic vision, strong public-private collaboration, and the continued strengthening of the Colombian capital’s international competitiveness.
